Brittany LeAnn Murray, 25, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was born July 9, 1991 in Kingsport and was a 2008 graduate of Sullivan South High School.She was a loving, loyal and giving mother, daughter, sister and granddaughter. Brittany was also dependable and outspoken. She had a love and passion for all animals and enjoyed being outdoors.Brittany was very family oriented and her greatest joy in life was when she gave birth to her son, Layton. She was excited about her new job that she was to begin Monday, October 3, 2016 at Pet Smart in Kingsport.She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Elsie Cunningham and Barbara Murray.Those left to cherish her memory are her fiance', Jon Michael Cook; son, Layton Cook; mother, Tammy Stapleton and step-father, Gary; father, Gary Murray; three younger siblings; uncles, Cecil Dingus, Jackie Dingus and Chris Murray; aunt, Phyllis Bishop; very special aunt, Wanda Martin; several cousins also survive.The family will receive friends Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.A Graveside Service will follow at Light Family Cemetery, Kingsport. Serving as pallbearers, Michael Martin, Josh Cook, Brandon Clark and Michael Neff.The care of Brittany LeAnn Murray and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary

Britt, I will miss you very much! I have so many memories of you with my little ones. Even though we grew apart because life took us to different places know that I will love you always and miss you always. I will forever carry you in my heart. I pray for Tammy, Jon Michael baby Layton and everyone that misses you so much you were a life taken to soon. I remember anytime you walked in a room you always lit it up and made everything fun. RIP sweet girl♡♡

I didn't personally know Brittany, but I know her Aunt Wanda who spoke so lovingly about her. My heart aches knowing that this horribly tragedy has befallen your family. I pray that God's love will comfort and strengthen you as you endure the pain of this great loss.
