Carolyn Prewitt

Carolyn Prewitt, 79, a former resident of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Landrum, SC. She was born August 1, 1938, in Louisville, KY to the late Roy and Lillian Smith Easley.Carolyn was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who always supported her family. She was especially fond of her grandchildren. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling, crocheting, needle point and was an accomplished seamstress.She retired as an Administrative Assistant in the banking industry following forty years of service.Mrs. Prewitt was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Prewitt.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of sixty years, Bill Prewitt; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Taylor; son, Scott Prewitt and his wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Will Prewitt, Jake Bowman and Thestues Taylor; great-granddaughter, Alli Bowman; sisters, Juanita Kenisha and Lorraine McAtee.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 5:00-6:45 pm at Indian Springs Baptist Church, Hill Road Campus. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Tiger Brooks officiating.A Graveside Service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper.The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice of the Carolinas Foot Hills, Landrum, SC for their compassionate care of our wife and mother.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Carolyn’s honor be made to Indian Springs Baptist Church, 325 Hill Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.The care of Carolyn Prewitt and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
