Cindy Vaughn Eldridge, 62, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 09, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.She was a native and lifelong resident of Kingsport.Cindy graduated from Central High School in 1972. She was a Dental Assistant and retired in 2000 after 28 years of service to be a “stay at home” Granny.She was a member of West Colonial Hills Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was Women’s Ministry Director.Cindy enjoyed cooking and loved reading and studying her Bible, taking care of children and doing what she could to help others. She was a loving wife, mother, granny, sister and friend.She was preceded in death by her parents, E.L. and Hazel Parker Vaughn; sister, Brenda West McKinney and brother in law, Kenneth West.Surviving are her loving husband of 28 years, Terry W. Eldridge; daughter, Casey Littell and husband, Les; sons, Kevin Eldridge and wife, Anita and Matthew Bentley and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Ayla, Vivian, Sean, Kate, Abbey and Emma; sister, Kay Scalf and husband, Randy; numerous nieces and nephews and her beagle, Buddy.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at West Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 1205 Kendrick Creek Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663.A Private Celebration Graveside Service will be conducted Thursday, September, 14, 2017 in Oak Hill Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Rd., Knoxville, TN 37909.The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt Medical Center and to the doctors and nurses at Kingsport Hematology and Oncology.Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.oakhillfh.com.The care of Cindy Vaughn Eldridge and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
