Clark E. Lawson, 73, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at his residence after a long illness. He was born and raised in Lee County, VA and had lived in Kingsport since 1966. Mr. Lawson served in the U. S. Army. He retired from Eastman Chemical as a Chemical Operator after 31 years of service. Mr. Lawson was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Pauline Rhoton Lawson and a brother, Lonnie Lawson. Surviving are his loving wife of 51years, Brenda Rogers Lawson; son, William Lawson and wife, Missy and Anthony Lawson and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Sabra, Jordon, Allison Hunter, Heather and Bryson; great grandson, Kayden Lawson; brother, Ralph Lawson and wife, Freddy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Friday, November 24, 2017 at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Pat Hammonds and Rev. Kenny Hammonds officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 9 am Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in the Garden of Meditation. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 8:50 am. The family would like to extend a special thank you to nursing staff of Amedysis Hospice.
