Daniel R. Payton

Daniel Payton, 62, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 3, 2018, at Holston Valley Medical Center.He was born in Brocton, MA was a former resident of Clearwater, FL and had lived in Kingsport since 2001.Mr. Payton retired from Electro Mechanical Corp. as a mechanic. He attended Johnson City Church of God and Friends of the King Church, Kingsport. He enjoyed wood carving, cross stitching and loved spending time with his family, especially his grand babies. Surviving are his loving wife of 20 years, Margarita Payton; daughter, Alexandria Payton and grand babies, Aydan and Alaina.A Gathering of Remembrance will be from 6 – 7 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Friends of the King Church, 112 Shelby St., Kingsport, TN.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Doug Tweed officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Margarita Payton or to the Friends of the King Church, 112 Shelby St., Kingsport, TN 37660.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to special friends, Ronnie and Sandy Bledsoe.The care of Daniel Payton and his family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
