Helen L. Bunn

Helen L. Bunn, age 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord and her family on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Born on November 20, 1929, during the Great Depression, Helen graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School, Class of 1948 and worked several years on their reunion committee. She attended ETSU for 2 years and began working in the office with Eastman at age 20 and retired in 1986 after 36 years of service. After retirement she spent her time traveling via tour bus and covered all states except Alaska and Hawaii. She enjoyed life and loved to cook and entertain with dinner parties and also made flower arrangements and crafts. She had been a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church since age 14. Helen was preceded in death by her father, Ray Neal Bunn in 1958; her mother, Verda Bunn in 1985, and her brother, Stanley R. Bunn I, in 2014. Survivors in Tampa, FL, are her sister-in-law, Kitty Wykle Bunn; three nephews, Jeffrey Janson Bunn, Corby Leigh Bunn, and Stanley R. Bunn II; one niece, Teresa Ann Bunn; five great-nieces and nephews and two in North Carolina. At Helen’s request there will be no funeral service. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Section M with close friends and Stanley’s family from Tampa, FL. The care of Helen L.
