James L. Davis – Mt. Carmel, TNThe end of time came for Jim Davis of Mt. Carmel, TN on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was born James Lubin Davis in 1935 in Wise, VA, and was saved by the Lord Jesus Christ in 1965. His life has been in the hope and promise of our Savior.Jim’s wife, Nancy Coley Davis preceded him in death.He is survived by his son, Byron Davis and wife Linda Jo of Kingsport; and by his daughter, Alicia Moore and husband Jeff of Sharpsburg, GA. Also surviving are three brothers, four sisters, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Jim was a U. S. Navy Veteran, Shoemaker High School graduate and a Kodak retiree.He wishes to thank his many relatives, friends and caretakers who stood by him through the dark days of the leukemia treatments. His final request was for there to be no services of any kind.The care of James L. Davis and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary

So sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad! He was a very dear friend of mine! Each time we met, we would discuss about seeing JESUS one day and our Dad has beat me to it! I will never forget him and that great Smile he had! He was a great man of GOD!
We will meet again one of these days soon! Our prayers are with you ALL!

Sorry about the passing of your dad. Jim was a good Christian man along with your mom.
We hate to lose our loved ones here on earth but this is only a place we are passing through.
I know your mom and dad are now reunited in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus gave us reassurance that if we live for him we all will see each other again. Your in our prayers.
