Jan Crawford, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.She was a native and lifelong resident of Kingsport. Jan was a member of Cedar View Presbyterian Church.She enjoyed showing horses, cooking, working outside and taking care of her animals. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter sister and friend.She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Quillen and a brother, Jeff Quillen.Surviving are her loving husband of 40 years, Denny Crawford; son, Jason Wall; grandson, Eli Wall; mother, Virginia Quillen; sisters, Karen Erwin and husband, Mark and Peggy Testerman and husband, Jack; sisters in law, Barbara Calhoun and husband, George, Ginny Ann Gilliam and husband, Harold, Bessie Quisenberry and Patricia Summey; brother in law, David Paul Crawford and wife, Regina and several nieces and nephews.A Private Family Celebration of Life Service was held Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Oak Hill IV Mausoleum in Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating.The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses at Holston Valley Medical Center.The care of Jan Crawford and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.

Jan was the lady that taught me how to ride a racking horse. I will never forget that. Many of us had a Great time riding and showing horses together. Jan you will be missed by many. Denny you are in our prayers, may God bring you comfort now and in the future.Josie & Jackie Smith

So sorry to hear the passing of Jan. I have many fond memories as a child. As I got older and moved on I would visit my dad and we would sit on the porch on the hill and watch Jan mow the yard. Loved it and she loved it. Good times to be well remembered!
