Jane Easterly Murph

Jane Easterly Murph, 95, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Wexford House. She was born July 7, 1922 in Russell County, VA to the late, Frank Easterly, Sr. and Lilly Dorton Easterly.Jane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always put family first. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, knitting, cross-stitching and needle-point. Her favorite past-times were reading her Bible and attending family gatherings.Mrs. Murph was a member of Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on various committees. She had worked as a secretary at Eastman Chemical Company and the Kingsport Press retiring following twenty years of service.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Harvey B. “Bob” Murph, Jr.Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike Murph and wife, Deborah, Ed Murph; grandchildren, Toby Murph and wife, Hope, Chenoa Conklin and husband, Brian, Catie Murph Mitchell and husband, Chris; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:45 pm Monday, August 28, 2017 in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Caleb Frazier and Pastor Joshua Swanson officiating.A private family Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Devotion.
