Jessica Lane, 34, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 4, 1983 in Clearwater, FL.Jessica was a loving and kind hearted lady who enjoyed arts and crafts and was especially fond of animals. Her family brought her the greatest joy in life.Prior to her illness, she was employed by Little Lambs Day Care, Johnson City, TN. She was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church where she worked in the nursery.She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lane; brother, Joseph Lane; maternal grandmother, Nellie Mace; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Faye Lane.Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Riley Mae Tate, mother, Rose Lane; sisters, Christy Shoemaker (Darrell) and Wendy Bergmann; brother, Jason Lane (Cassi); fiance’, Andrew Tate; maternal grandfather, Clyde Mace; several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Living Word Lutheran Church, 5210 North Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37615. A Celebration of Life Service will be follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Andrew Stuebs officiating.The family extends their sincere gratitude to Amedisys Hospice and a special thank you to the family members and many friends that assisted in caring for Jessica during her final days.The care of Jessica Lane and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
