Lucille Jackson

Lucille S. Jackson, 92, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Asbury Place. She was born February 1, 1925 in Harrison County, West Virginia to the late, Charles and Mildred Hiteshew Shreve.Lucille was family oriented and was proud to have been married to her husband, Leslie for sixty years. She was particularly proud to be from West Virginia, and frequently mentioned it in her conversation. She had a consistent positive outlook on life and was especially fond of her Jack Russell, Hillary. Mrs. Jackson was a retired Guidance Counselor and Business teacher at Oak Glen High School in Chester, W.VA. where she retired following forty years of service. She held a Master’s Degree in Education and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teaching Society.Lucille was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Chester, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Leslie Jackson; daughter, Rebecca Fenyves; grandsons, Ryan Fenyves and wife, Amanda, Adam Fenyves and Evan Fenyves; two very special ladies in her life, Casie Law and Lexi Hartsock.Mrs. Jackson will be returned to her home town of Chester, WV, where funeral arrangements will be announced by the Arner Funeral Chapel, 607 Carolina Avenue, Chester, WV, 26034.They family would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to the staff of Asbury Center of Kingsport for the love and care shown to Lucille and to the family during her time there.
