Lula Roller, 99, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2017, at NHC HealthCare of Kingsport. She was born in Hawkins County and had lived there all of her life and was a member of First Baptist Church, Church Hill. She loved having her family come and visit with her. Mrs. Roller was preceded in death by her husband, Roy “Slick” Roller; parents, Wilburn and Kate Skelton Fields; sisters, Mary Chapman, Thelma “Pet” Williams, Maude Alley, Ruby Walters and brothers, Kermit Fields and Alfred Fields. Surviving are two sons, Earl Roller and wife, Gail and Lynn Roller and wife, June; grandchildren, Ryan Roller, Loree Taylor and husband, Tim and Karen Redman and husband, Mike; great grandchildren, Charlee Rain Taylor and Ryker Roller and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary Gerhardt officiating. A Graveside Service will be held 11 am Monday, December 4, 2017 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Section A. Pallbearers will be Ryan Roller, Tim Taylor, Larry “Bo” Alley, Paul Williams, Randall Williams and Mike Redman. Family and friends are asked to meet at the gravesite at 10:50 am.
