Neal P. Foulk, Jr., 87, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his residence after a long illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Kingsport. Mr. Foulk was formerly an Electrician and Electrical Salesman with Wholesale Electric, All-Phase Electric and retired from Whitton Electric. He then entered a second career teaching his vocation to the students of Sullivan County Schools. He was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church where he was former chairman of the Building Committee for the new Sanctuary and was an active member until his health declined. Mr. Foulk enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Foulk Kelly; parents, Neal and Emogene Howard Foulk, Sr, and a brother, Wayne Foulk. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Patsy Stuffle Foulk; foster son, Barry S. Coakley and wife, Joan; grandchildren, Leah Adinolfi and husband, Sonny, Lauren Lane and husband, Stephen and Lyle Kelly and wife, Amy; great grandchildren, Sarah, Olivia, Keegan, Aidia and Alathea, brother, Roy Foulk; sister-in-law, Martha Newland and husband, Rhea; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:30 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeremy McMillian and Chaplain Michael Driver officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vermont United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1817 Bloomingdale Rd., Kingsport, TN 37660 The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the staff of Smokey Mountain Hospice, and to Neal’s caregivers, Tanya, Carrie, Patsy, Christy, and especially Ben. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Chaplain Michael Driver, and to special friends Karen and Margaret for making sure the family never had to worry about grocery shopping or preparing meals as they took care of this for the family for the last several months of Neal’s life.
