Phyllis K. Moore, 86, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born January 22, 1932, in Sullivan County, TN to the late Andrew and Eva Lee Deathrage Shelley.Phyllis was a loving and kind lady who was always there for her family. She loved to shop and enjoyed cooking.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Moore; twin daughters, Lynda and Brenda Carter; son, Fred E. Moore, Jr.; grandson, Benjamin Cleek. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathy (Charles) Owens and Kim (Marty) Quillen; granddaughters, Michelle (Ty) Steadman, Christy Cleek and Shelley (Willie) McKensie; grandsons, Phillip (P.J.) (Cortney) Robinson and Jason (Christy) Robinson; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special niece and best friend, Sandy Thomas; best friend of seventy years, Sue Williams.The family will receive friends 3:00-4:45 pm Sunday, June 10, 2018, in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00 pm with Chaplain Mike Driver officiating. Music will be under the direction of Lori Richardson.Phyllis will then be laid to rest with her husband, Fred Moore in a private Entombment Service Monday, June 11, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.The family extends their sincere gratitude to Carrey, Lori and Ben of Smoky Mountain Hospice for their love and support and to Mary Ann Bogus, her loving caregiver.The care of Phyllis K. Moore and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
