Terry Jarvis

Terry Lynn Jarvis, 68, a former resident of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Carolinas HealthCare System in Lincolnton, NC.He was born April 28, 1949 in Kingsport, TN. Terry was a member of Real Life Community Church in Iron Station, NC where he played the bass guitar. He loved music and played gospel in a group called Blood Bought.Terry retired from Salem Industries as the plant manager; he was a production supervisor in textiles for most of his life and loved his career helping adults with special needs. He will be missed by his friends, family and church family. He was the best dad and papa; a man who loved to give and help others and loved God and his family. Terry was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jarvis.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan Crump Jarvis; son, Todd Eldridge Jarvis; daughter, Traci Lynne Jarvis (Todd Landreth); mother, Mildred Conkin Jarvis; step-son, Daniel Aderholdt (Wendy); grandchildren, Christopher, Jax, Dalton, Courtney, Ana and Raleigh.The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Resurrection. Rev. Johnny Caldwell will officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Terry’s honor be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
