Zabad B. Showkeir passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. Zabad migrated to the United States in the mid-60’s, where she and her husband started a family in Kingsport, Tennessee. She moved to Lubbock in the early 80’s with her children after the passing of her husband. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.She is loved by all that knew her and was a good friend to all. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.Survivors include her son, Richard Showkier and wife, Amira; daughter, Nawal Zeitouni and husband, Faisal; grandchildren, Ferris, Zain, Mae, and Hana Zeitouni; Slaiman, Jude and Amal Showkier.She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Suleiman A. Showkeir.A Graveside and Committal Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Section A. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.The care of Zabad B. Showkeir and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
