Enjoyed the many Ballinger reunions in New Market and meeting Alvin and Barbara
I am honored to have become acquainted with Mr. Ballinger and his family. I hate I only knew him for a short time. We shared a lot of laughs and he tolerated me quite well. ;). I miss him terribly, but am so glad I met him. Peace and love to you all Jeff, Jan and Ian. You know I'm only a call away...
Alvin was my Grandad’s uncle & my great-great uncle. I heard so many stories about the two of them hunting & just having so much fun together all through their lives. As a kid, my memories of Alvin will always be of he & Aunt Barbara & their kindness & generosity. I can remember going to stay with them in Kingsport as a child and enjoying their company so very much. They made us laugh & spoiled us too. Any big life event we had Aunt Barbara & Uncle Al were there & they meant so much to me & to our family. I started planting a garden as an adult in 2020 & I thought I’d waited too late in the year. I had my grandmother ask Alvin if it was ok that we’d planted our garden in mid-May. He told her it was “just right” so this is the 3rd May 16 in a row I’ve planted our garden & thought of Uncle Alvin & I always will.
Pappy Ballinger you know I loved you as a father in law. You always made me laugh. Peace be with you Alvin. Much love.
