Anne Cole Arrants

Anne Cole Arrants, 94, of Kingsport, passed away May 17, 2019, at Holston Manor.She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Arrants; parents, Ira and Bessie Cole; sister, Lela Cole; brothers, Selmer and Carl Cole.Mrs. Arrants is survived by her brother, Ivan Cole (Elizabeth) of Richmond, VA; daughter, Bobbie Overbey (Johnnie) of Orlando, Florida; son, Michael Arrants (Barbara) of Kingsport; stepson, Samuel Arrants (Linda) of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Anthony; two great-grandchildren.Mrs. Arrants was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Upon graduation from Dobyns-Bennett High School she worked for Holston Defense. After raising her children she attended Whitney Business School and worked in social services at Holston Valley Community Hospital until her retirement.Mrs. Arrants was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church for most of her life. She loved gardening and University of Tennessee football and basketball. Her friends will especially remember her caring nature.A private family Entombment & Committal Service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park.A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mrs. Arrants will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019, at The Emporium, 140 Broad Street, Kingsport. Rev. Kaye Florence will officiate.
