It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Marie Pennington McClure announces her passing on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at her home in Boynton Beach, Florida.Anne will be lovingly remembered by her family. Anne was born in Kingsport, TN on June 18, 1931. After graduation from Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport she then attended Gulf Park College for Women in Gulf Port, MS and then the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She received her Bachelorette Degree in Music Education, she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity.Anne was very active in the community of Greeneville, TN where she and husband Paul McClure lived for over 40 years. She taught music in the Greene County School system and was the founder of the South Greene High School Band.During her time in Greeneville she was a member of First Baptist Church, currently she was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN.Anne Marie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Paul McClure; daughter, Julia Shewmaker; son-in-law Bob Hut and parents, Leola and Judge Banner Pennington.She is survived by her daughters, Miriam Jagels; son-in-law David Jagels and Rachelen Hut; grandchildren, Will Jagels, Amanda Littlejohn, Alex Hut, Eric Hut, Lynette Torres and Jessica Styles; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.A family Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on September 8, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN.Memorial donations in memory of Anne Marie McClure may be made to Activities Department, Discovery Assisted Living, 4733 NW 7th Court, Boynton Beach, FL 33426
