Annette, born on November 8th, 1945, left her earthly home into the wonders of Heaven on April 14th, 2020. Annette, the daughter of the late Archible Mellon and Ruth Schuffler, also the wife of late Walter Marvin Hines, is survived by her husband Terry Mize, her son Jimmy Hines, wife Candy, grandson Hunter Hines, wife Jamie, her daughter Melissa Ketron, husband Eddie, granddaughter Sarah Swain, husband David, grandson Heath Ketron, wife Tabitha, step-daughter Rebekah Atchinson, husband Art, granddaughter Jacquelyn Kremer, granddaughter Kameron Pritchett, husband Terry and her great grandchildren, Piper, Emerie, Marlo, Savannah, Wyatt, Kate, Lileigh, Tucker and Hudson. Annette was born in Kingsport, TN and lived the majority of her life there with her late husband of more than 40 years, Marvin. Annette’s southern charm and caring ability could be felt the second she entered a room. She spent the majority of her life serving others, for she had a servant’s heart. She was committed and loyal to those she loved, through and through. To know Annette was to love her, to have walked in her shoes was to respect her, to call her friend was to giggle till you cried and to have her by your side, was a blessing. After the passing of her husband, Marvin, she would spend her last 10 years in Middle TN close to her daughter, Melissa, all of her great grandchildren, and with her husband of 7 years, Terry. Staying active and connected to her relationships, Annette continued to serve others in many ways, while still gracing us all with her beautiful presence, carefree talk and prim style. Annette was a charter member of Higher Ground Baptist Church.She will be laid to rest at Holston View Cemetery on Friday, April 17th at 11:00 am with immediate family only. Dr. Phil Hoskins will officiate. A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Annette will be held at a later time when we can all, safely, gather together. Jimmy and Melissa, my heart aches for you and your family. I often drive by Wilcox and look up the hill to where your house used to be. I thought the world of your mom and I only learned tonight of her passing. I hope you have peace knowing she is rejoicing now and watching over you all.
Melissa and Jimmy, so sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. She did command respect and admiration in a fun loving way. A wave of warm memories came over me just by seeing her beautiful photo.
