I knew Barbara from church. She was very excited when she found out that I was dating one of her former students from Madison Elementary School, and she was even more excited when she found out that we were marrying. Until God called my late husband home, Barbara sent cards and notes with personal messages. So far I have kept all of these. To Barbara's family, I pray that God will comfort you and give you the strength to face the days ahead. She was one special lady.

Ms. Ballinger was my 2nd grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary, she was without a doubt one of my favorite. She was a kind and caring lady, and will be missed. My prayers for comfort and strength to her family.

It leaves us sad that Barbara has left us behind but we know where she has gone and live each day to join her. Barbara was a quite and faithful church worker, she never stood out in the limelight. But the day came when I ask her to join me on a church committee and she readily accepted. I tagged her as our/my secretary and she did a wonderful job. I always felt close to her and Al and have always held them in the highest of regards. Because of our love for you, our hearts ache also. May God be with you and provide you comfort.

Barbara and I worked together at Lincoln School for 10 years. She was there longer.
She was a caring and good teacher.
