Birdie M. Hite, 87, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, December 23, 2017, at Holston Manor after a lengthy illness.She was born in Eidson, TN and had lived in Kingsport most of her life. Mrs. Hite was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.She loved spending time with her family, neighbors and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hite; step son, Vincent Hite; parents and several sisters and brothers.Surviving are her son, Billy L. Hite and wife, Renee; step son, Haskell Hite and wife, Florence; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the garden of the Last Supper.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Holston Manor.Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Birdie Hite and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
