Bob Crawford

Norman “Bob” Crawford, 82, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018, at his residence.He was a native and lifelong resident of Kingsport. Bob served in the U. S. Army.Bob retired from the City of Kingsport in 1999 as a Supervisor in the Sewer Maintenance Dept. after 30+ years. He was a member of the Eagles Club on Stone Dr. and VFW Post # Church Hill.Bob was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed collecting eagles and loved watching boxing. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.He was preceded in death by his parents P.P. and Dicie Jones Crawford; sister, Genevieve Ellis and brothers, Sonny Crawford, Jay Crawford and Don Crawford.Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Margie Osborne; daughter, Nancy Garrett and husband, Reuben; granddaughter, Candace Garrett and husband, Glenn Stewart; “special grandchildren,” Kevin Howington, Tiffany and Carrie; great grandchildren, Taylor Howington, Camron Howington and Avion Stewart and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the J. Wayne Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Gibson, Pastor Glenn Stewart and Rev. Lawrence “Spud” Myrick officiating. Music will be provided by Vicki Austen.A Military Entombment Committal Service will be conducted at 12 noon Friday, April 6, 2018, by the Hawkins County Color Guard and the Tennessee National Guard at the Chapel Mausoleum in Oak Hill Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Pediatric Oncology, 400 N.
