Bonnie Jean Tefft Crain

Bonnie Jean Tefft Crain, 88, of Church Hill, TN passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her residence. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was faithful to her church and she would often visit nursing home residents. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, crocheting, collecting antique dolls; as well as, making dolls, bird watching, playing solitaire, working jigsaw puzzles, reading books, playing guitar, and singing hymns. She had worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Balmoral Nursing Home in Trenton, Michigan until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Paul Puckett; second husband, William H. Crain; parents, George Alonzo and Ruby Estel Tefft; sisters, Nancy Meadow, Roberta Jones, and Betty Key; brothers, Doy Tefft and Roy Tefft. Those left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her children, Benny Puckett, Brenda Elefritz, Paul “Rusty” Puckett, and Tina Dunn; eight grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Georgie, Amanda Gayle, Etta Faye, and Joan; brother, Carmen; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Erin, Tennessee. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Avalon Hospice for their compassionate care of our mother during her final days.
