Bonnie Jean Tefft Crain, 88, of Church Hill, TN passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her residence. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was faithful to her church and she would often visit nursing home residents. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, crocheting, collecting antique dolls; as well as, making dolls, bird watching, playing solitaire, working jigsaw puzzles, reading books, playing guitar, and singing hymns. She had worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Balmoral Nursing Home in Trenton, Michigan until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Paul Puckett; second husband, William H. Crain; parents, George Alonzo and Ruby Estel Tefft; sisters, Nancy Meadow, Roberta Jones, and Betty Key; brothers, Doy Tefft and Roy Tefft. Those left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her children, Benny Puckett, Brenda Elefritz, Paul “Rusty” Puckett, and Tina Dunn; eight grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Georgie, Amanda Gayle, Etta Faye, and Joan; brother, Carmen; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Erin, Tennessee. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Avalon Hospice for their compassionate care of our mother during her final days. The care of Bonnie Jean Tefft Crain and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
