Bonnie N. Reece

Bonnie Nickels Reece, 92, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord September 9, 2018, after a lengthy illness. She was born June 1, 1926, in Wood, VA to the late George and Etter Nickels.Bonnie was a graduate of Dungannon High School and she was a big NASCAR fan. Bonnie retired from Parks-Belk in Kingsport, following twenty-five years of service.She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mount Carmel, TN.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Reece; son, George Edward Shaw; infant sister, Almedia Nickels; sister, Gladys Lane; brothers, Jack, James and Bill Nickels.Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Lakie (Stan) Pressley; step-daughter, Clara (Jim) Mintz; step-grandchildren, David Mintz, Douglas Mintz and Susanne Wagner; three great-granddaughters, Jenna Wagner, Jackie Wagner and Sasha Mintz; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Deanna Nickles; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 5:00-6:45 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Todd Haley officiating. Music will be under the direction of Arvella Lane.A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
