Brandi Darnell

Brandi Lynn Darnell, 46, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center.Brandi was born on September 16, 1974, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Alan Darnell and Janice’ Hillyard. She was known as a strong and independent woman with a great sense of humor. Brandi lived her life the way she wanted to live, with passion and fire. She was very kind hearted and loved children and animals. Brandi worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Billie Mynes; and maternal grandfather, William Wuthrick.Those left to cherish Brandi’s memory are her mother, Janice Hillyard; father, Alan Darnell; step-mother, Donna Darnell; sister, Angie Voyles (Todd); brother, Marty Darnell; sons, Todd Woodard (Brandon Varnon) and Bradley Darnell (Hayley Despain); step-sister, Marlana Dupriest; granddaughter, Emory Darnell and Adalynn Gutierrez; a niece, several nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in the Fireside Room of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm with sister, Angie speaking.The family extends their sincere gratitude to the ICU staff and nurses of Holston Valley Medical Center for their compassion and care.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brandi’s memory to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at www.aspca.org.To leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.oakhillfh.com.The care of Brandi Lynn Darnell and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
