Brenda F. Moffitt, 78, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Asbury Place, Kingsport. She was born July 8, 1940, in Sullivan County, TN to the late Wallace and Clara Allen Moffitt.Brenda had a really big heart and loved helping others. She enjoyed collecting antiques and was especially fond of her Chihuahua, Cricket.Miss Moffitt retired from the Wellmont Health Care System in the Clerical Department following over forty years of service.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dreena Roache.Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, David Moffitt, Drew Moffitt (Diane) and Phillip Moffitt; nieces, Cary Menefee (Michael), Lisa Roache, Kim Kestner (John) and Charity Moffitt; nephews, Brad Moffitt (Sherra), Aaron Moffitt and Skylar Moffitt; four great nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Sunday, November 25, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 pm in the Fireside Room at Oak Hill Funeral Home.An Entombment & Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Chapel Mausoleum. Brenda’s brother, Phillip Moffitt will deliver the eulogy. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staffs of Asbury Place, Kingsport and Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care of Brenda.The care of Brenda F. Moffitt and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
