Brenda P. Myers, 73, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Holston Valley Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport.Brenda retired from Johnson City Medical Center as a nurse. She was a member of Church Hill Church of God.Brenda enjoyed sitting around talking with friends and loved spending time with her family and church family.She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Myers, William and Bonnie Flynn Duke; brother, Doug Duke and sisters, Phyllis Miller, Cora Lee Salyers and Pauline Kimberlin.Those left to cherish her memories are sisters, Annette Barrett and husband, Ken and Mary Duke; brothers, Buddy Duke and Wanda Holden and Michael “Cotton” Duke; several nieces and nephews.It was Brenda’s request to be laid to rest beside her husband, Kenneth in the Oak Hill IV Mausoleum.A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Church Hill Church of God with Pastor Bill Clark and Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church Hill Church of God, 206 Old Union Rd., Church Hill, TN 37642.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Holston Valley Hospital and nurses of Ballad Hospice for their compassion and care.The care of Brenda P. I am very saddened to hear about my Aunt Brenda’s passing. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her last. She was a wonderful person with a huge heart. She will be missed. Luv you Aunt Brenda😢❤️
