She was born in Kingsport on August 17, 1973 to Kevin Ivey and Billie Jo Powell.She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Ann Ivey; maternal step-grandfather, Carl Elliott and aunt, Cathy Phillips.Nikki is survived by her husband, Jason Huggins; her father, Kevin Ivey and wife, Beverly; her mother, Billie Jo Powell and husband, Bob; step-son, Andrew Huggins; step-sister, Ashley Sykes and husband, Adam; maternal grandmother, Geneva Bullis; paternal step-grandmother, Freda Stapleton; niece, Emily Sykes; nephew Carson Sykes and her beloved Yorkie, Chase.Nikki will be lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.Please join her family in a Celebration of Life Gathering, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Renaissance Center, Room 310, 1200 East Center St., Kingsport, TN.The care of Nikki Huggins and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary

I wish I had stayed in touch with Nikki as I know in my heart she would have been, not only my niece, but a friend as well. Somehow we always believe there will be enough time to do all the things on our bucket list, to apologize to your loved ones, or fulfill that promise to your neighbor…..I say DON’T WAIT – live each day like it is the present that God intended. I am so sorry for your loss Jason, Kevin, BJ and Bob – we are all praying, trusting, and believing with you that Nikki is in Heaven now, resting in peace!
