Carl “June” Maddox, Jr., passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Wexford House after a short illness.He was born in Imboden, VA and had lived in Kingsport most of his life.June served in the U. S. Army. He retired from General Shale after 40 years of service.June enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, watching football on television and loved spending time with his family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Lillie Miller Maddox, Sr.; sister, Paula Denise Perry and brother, Norman Eugene “Butch” Maddox.Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Mabel Fuller, Leslie Powers (Rex) and Donna Bernard (Tommy); brother, Paul Maddox (Linda); special niece, Amber Perry; several nieces, nephews and cousins.A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of NHC and Wexford House.The care of Carl “June” Maddox and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
