Patrick, 89, a former resident of Kingsport, went to his heavenly home on Monday June 27, 2022, at his home in Knoxville, TN surrounded by his loving family.He was born November 13, 1932, in Greeneville, TN to the late Frank and Pearl Patrick.Carmon was a devoted husband to his wife, Nancy for 65 blessed years and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.He always enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He was a habitual tinkerer, always busy! He enjoyed photography and caring for his lawn as long as he was able.Carmon was the retired Territory Manager with DuPont and former owner of X-Ray of Tennessee.He was the first Radiology Manager at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN and past President of the Tennessee Society of Radiologic Technologists. (TSRT).Carmon was a member of Boones Creek United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher.He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War serving at Itazuke Air Force Base in Japan.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Byron Todd Patrick and brother, Allan Patrick.Surviving family to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 blessed years, Nancy Fleming Patrick; sons: Kent Allan (Joy) Patrick of Knoxville, TN, Stephen Scott (Carmen) Patrick of Chattanooga, TN and Stacy Dru (Wendy) Patrick of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Ryan (Tory) Patrick of Atlanta, GA, Maggie (Stephen) Parsley of Birmingham, Al, Andrew (Kimberly) Patrick of Huntsville, AL, Aaron Patrick of Chattanooga, TN, Holly Patrick of Johnson City, TN, Kelly Patrick of Johnson City, TN; step grandson, Ethan Fogle of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Adair, Violet, William Parsley and Penn Patrick.The family will receive friends Friday, July 1, 2022, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Mike Laughrun officiating.Military Graveside Rites will follow be conducted by The American Legion Hammond Post # 3 and Gate City Post #265 at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Sermon on the Mount. His sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.The care of Carmon F. Patrick and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
