Carol Ann Clingan, 70, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 following an extended illness at her home with her children and niece by her side.Carol was born April 28, 1949 in Littleton, NH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman R. and Carlene “Peggy” Hesseltine Jenks; brother, Courtland “Sonny” Sprague; and former husband, Robert Clingan.Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her daughter, Sandra Townsend and husband David; son, Richard Clingan; two grandchildren, Jillian Townsend and Joseph Bourque IV and wife Melissa; great-granddaughter, Addilynn Bourque; niece, Roxanne Baucum; and many other family members and friends.The family will receive friends starting at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at her daughter, Sandra Townsend’s home.
