Carole Ann Wright Tipton

Carole Tipton, 75, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Holston Valley Hospital following a short illness. Born at Miami Beach, Florida on July 13, 1944, she was the daughter of William Earl and Ella Harrell Wright.She resided in Kingsport for most of her life, and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She retired from Quebecor Hawkins after 40 years of service. She loved traveling, working word puzzles and hanging out with her friends.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Howard Tipton, her husband of 40 years, and her grandparents Gustave and Beotta Coulombe, Jacob and Lula Wright, and William Perry and Susan Harrell.She is survived by step-daughter, Sharon Housewright and husband Lester; step-son, Jeff Tipton and wife Tina; sister, Susan Acito and husband Jim; brothers, Robert L. York and wife Mary, Gerald Wright and wife Monica and Daryl Wright and wife Susan; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nephew, Kane Wright; niece Candida Kiser and several other nieces and nephews.A Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev Wayne Baker officiating. A Eulogy will be given by her sister, Susan.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Section A.
