Cecil Lee McClain, 83, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Hawkins Co. and had lived in Kingsport most of his life.Mr. McClain served in the U. S. Army. He retired from AFG as a sign painter. Mr. McClain attended Bloomingdale Assembly of God Church.He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, singing in church and loved spending time with his family.He was preceded in death by his parents, DeWitt and Cora Bowser McClain; granddaughter, Rachel McClain and sisters, Fern Pridemore, Betty Goodson and Polly Teaster.Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy E. McClain; daughter, Lorie Herrin; son, Anthony McClain and wife, Nichole; grandchildren, Jacob McClain, Sarah McClain, Megan Cooper, Korynn Dresher and husband, Jacob, Andrew Herrin and Aiden Herrin; great grandson, Marshall William Dresher and several nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating. So sorry to hear of Cecils passing. Me and my brother Jeff Hicks grew up with Tony and Lori and Cecil was always a lot of fun. He taught me alot on the guitar. Jimmy Hicks
