Charlotte Ruth Gilliam

Charlotte Ruth Gilliam, 84, of Baltimore, MD, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 26, 2019, after a long illness.She was born in Kingsport, lived most of her life in Baltimore.Mrs. Gilliam was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church.She enjoyed cooking, being with friends and loved spending time with her family.Mrs. Gilliam was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Gilliam; infant sons, David and Timothy Gilliam; parents, Wilbur and Cessie (Pugh) Shipley; four brothers and one sister.Surviving are her daughter, Shelley Baker and husband, John; son John M. Gilliam and wife, Ashley and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Gilliam will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Memorial Park.The care of Mrs. Charlotte Gilliam and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
