Conley “Con” Ramey, 83, of Surgoinsville, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.He was born in Kingsport and had been a resident of Surgoinsville since 2007.Mr. Ramey enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, refinishing furniture, fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delores Sue Ramey in 1964; father, Thomas Jefferson Ramey; mother, Bonnie Weaver Ramey Walters; sisters, Elva Griffith and Lulabean Gillam and brothers, Ben Ramey and Theodore Ramey.Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Helen Ramey; daughters, Rebecca Moody and husband, Danny, Kathy Collins and husband, DeWayne and Tammy Morelock; son, Jeff Ramey and wife, Maryann; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Howard Ramey and wife, Peggy; special cousin, Samantha Flannagan; several nieces and nephews.Due to COVID-19, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rex McMurray officiating. Music will be provided by Nancy Lambert.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to his caregivers, Jeff Ramey and the nurses of Smoky Mountain Hospice.The care of Conley “Con” Ramey and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
