Coy Paul Johnson

Coy Paul Johnson, age 79 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2018.Coy was born in Hancock County, TN but resided most of his life in the Kingsport area. He was an Army Veteran and retired from Eastman with many years of service. Coy was a longtime member of Riverside Avenue Baptist Church where he was very active and served in many different roles over the years. Coy was an extremely generous man who was always willing to help anyone in need. Preceding Coy in death are his first wife, Brenda Crawford Johnson; father, Echol Johnson; mother, Bealuh Barnette Haun; step-father, Joseph Haun, Sr.; and sister, Pam Haun Turner.Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Rita H. Johnson; daughter, Sonya Hartley; son, Samuel L. Johnson; five grandchildren, Haley Jagarwal (Amit), Sydney and Alex Hartley, Kayla Johnson and Heather Steele (Daniel); great-granddaughter, Hannah Steele; sister, Janet Havermale; and brother, Joseph Haun, Jr.A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Johnson Family Cemetery, Kyles Ford, TN with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.
