Daniel R. O'Leary

Daniel R. O’Leary, 65, of Church Hill, TN passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, TN. He was born July 23, 1952, in Kingsport, to the late, Daniel and Betty Carter O’Leary.Daniel was a loving, caring, committed gentleman who had a great sense of humor. He was a “people person” and never met a stranger. Daniel enjoyed fishing, camping, kayaking and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed racing locally and drove car #36 for twenty years and won several track championships.Daniel was a realtor with Signature Properties where he was a Million Dollar producer.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Kristie Bostic O’Leary.Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixteen years, Marty Bledsoe O’Leary; daughters, Michelle Steadman (Ty), Christy Cleek and Bethany O’Leary; son, Patrick O’Leary and Emily Cox; sister, Tina Ison; brother, Patrick O’Leary (Darlene); grandchildren, Haley Russell, Cooper Cleek and Emilee O’Leary; special niece, Abigail Richardson; several nieces and nephews; “fur babies”, Sadie and Rocky.The family will receive friends 5:00-6:45 pm Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. Steve Warren will deliver the eulogy.The family extends a sincere “thank you” to his special friend, Gary Addington for his love and support, the medical staff at Vanderbilt Hospital, Tina Ison and Debbie Henard for caring for our “fur kids” while spending time at Vanderbilt.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Daniel’s honor be made to Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center @ www.vicc.orgThe care of Daniel R.
