Darryl F. Hartnagle, 78, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 3, 2019, at his residence. He was born September 15, 1940, in Bennington, VT to the late Howard and Madeline Durant Hartnagle.Darryl was an outgoing, friendly and kind man who was always ready to help others. He enjoyed playing golf, trips to the beach, being outdoors enjoying nature, reading and studying history. However, his greatest joy in life came by spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was active in the ministry of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Kingsport, where he served as an Elder.Darryl worked as a sales representative in the distribution industry for many years and was awarded “Salesman of the Year” multiple times. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anita Hartnagle and Karen Beshand; brother, Douglas Hartnagle.Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of fifty-six years, Ellen Hartnagle; son, Darryl Hartnagle, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Brigette Hartnagle; daughters, Barbara Miller and Madeline Rogers; son-in-law, Jeff Rogers; sister, Cheryl Cipperly; granddaughters, Sarah Tittle and Alyssa Carter; great-grandchildren, Brody Tittle, Brit Tittle, Max Carter and Mason Carter; along with many nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a voluntary donation to The Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
