Dave Anderson

David J. “Dave” Anderson, 78, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 28, 2018, at Holston Valley Medical Center.He was born in Schuyler, NE on 13 July, 1940 and had lived in Kingsport for the past 8 years.Mr. Anderson received his Bachelors of Music Education from Wayne State College, Wayne, NE. He retired from Holdrege High School, in Holdrege, NE as Vocal Music Instructor and retired as an Interpreter for the United States Forest Service after 20 years of service.Dave enjoyed wood working, singing with his wife, Jean and taking pictures of flowers in the Rocky Mountains.He was preceded in death by his parents, Iral and Jean Anderson.Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Jean Anderson; daughters, Maria Anderson and Christina Newman and husband, Jeff; sister, Linda DiMauro; brother-in-law, Charles Mulhair and wife Karol; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter and 4 nieces.A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at a later date.The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Mr. Anderson’s nurses and doctors of Holston Valley Medical Center and Pastor Randy Lantz of Crossroads United Methodist Church for their compassion and care.The care of David Anderson and his family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
