David C. Sullivan, 70, of Kingsport, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, August 4, 2018, with his loving wife, Vickie, by his side. He was born at his family home in Virginia City, VA and had lived in Kingsport most of his life.David retired from Eastman Chemical Co., Acetate Yarn Division, in the Spinning Dept. as a Team Manager after 32 years of service. David enjoyed turkey shoots, fishing, watching westerns, the Price is Right and loved spending time with his family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, E. J. Sullivan, Jr. and Mildred Long Sullivan, and brother, Larry N. Sullivan. Surviving are his loving wife of 17 years, Vickie Leah Sandidge Sullivan; sisters, Margaret Sullivan and Joanne Sullivan; brothers, Mike Sullivan and Steve Sullivan and wife, Pam; mother in law, Shirley Sandidge; brothers in law, Michael Sandidge and John Sandidge and wife, Jerie Lynn; sister-in-law, Karen Sullivan; special niece, Kasie Sandidge; his loving faithful companion, “Baby” and several nieces, nephews and cousins.The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm with Wayne Bledsoe officiating.An Entombment Committal Service will be held 11 am Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the New Chapel Mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Ferrell, John Derrick, Ronnie Rudder, Louie Leamon, Steve Pendleton and Dave Light.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Warren Jones and staff as well as David’s friends at CVS Pharmacy in Colonial Heights.
