Deborah (Deb) Brooks Moody, 63, of Kingsport passed from this life to the next on May 8, 2019.She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, T. Glen Moody; children, Josh (Modesty) and Melody Moody Thortis (Shaun); brother, Bill Brooks (Vikki); grandson, Griffin Moody; unborn grandson, Brooks Thortis; many friends, extended family, and a vibrant Christian testimony and legacy.Deb worked with her husband Glen at Moody Bible Bookstore and I Love Books Bookstore for their entire marriage and was also employed as a Senior Accountant over the years at several local companies, most recently, Contura Energy.Friends and family will gather for a service of worship to our Creator and for the memory and celebration of Deb's life on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Evergreen Garden Center in Colonial Heights at 6:30 in the evening. The service will be directed by Karen Gibson, the eulogy will be given by Henere Valk, and personal stories will be told by several of Deb's longtime friends.Casual dress is requested for the gathering which is open to any friends and family of the Moody’s and Brooks.
