Denise Maddox Perry, 60, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2019. She was born on June 4, 1959, in Imboden, VA to the late Carl Maddox and Lillie Miller Maddox. Denise was a very loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She had worked at Brookhaven for several years and she was active in the PTA while her daughter, Amber, was in school. She loved her dogs, Mazie, Chloe, and Corduroy, and loved to spend time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Eugene “Butch” Maddox. Those left to cherish Denise’s memory are her loving husband, Billy Perry; daughter, Amber Perry; sisters, Mabel Fuller, Leslie Powers (Rex) and Donna Bernard (Tommy); brothers, Carl Maddox, Dennis Maddox (Linda); several nieces and nephews. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Vernon Heights Missionary Baptist Church, Kingsport, TN with Pastor Michael Anglin officiating . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the American Diabetes Foundation at www.diabetes.org. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Carroll and all the nurses for their compassionate care of Denise. The care of Denise Maddox Perry and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
