Dennis Forbis

Dennis Forbis, 72, of Church Hill, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at his residence. He lived in Kingsport most of his life and had lived in Church Hill for the past 43 years.Dennis graduated from Ketron High School in 1965. He retired from Quebecor World Inc. in 2005 as a machine operator, after 29 years of service. Dennis currently was a member of Central Assembly of God Church. He worked in Children’s Ministry for 45 years. Dennis and Joyce started a kid’s outreach program at Cloud Apartments in Kingsport.He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed his dog, Larry.Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Elsie Gent Forbis and a sister, Charlotte Kestner.Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Joyce McGhee Forbis; son, Matt Forbis and wife, Michelle; daughter, Joy Harmon; grandchildren, Matthew, Adrian, Gabriel, Dillen, Joanna, Ellie and Olivia and several brothers and a sister.A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J.
