Dennis Keith Smith

Dennis Keith Smith, 67, of Church Hill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center.Dennis was a life-long resident of the Kingsport area and a graduate of Central High School. He was a loving and doting father and grandfather. Dennis loved music and was an accomplished guitar player and song writer, an avid reader and enjoyed time spent in his garden.Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Floyd D. and Mary Gilley Smith and two brothers,Left to cherish Dennis’ memory are his daughter, Chenoa Conklin (Brian); son, Michael Smith (Christina Strong); grandchildren, Willow Shelton, Jorah Smith, Melody and Peirson Strong; brother, Stanley Smith; sisters, Paula Pope (Larry) and Krista Smith; and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service to celebrate Dennis’ Life will be held at a later date once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.The care of Dennis Keith Smith and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
