Dora Louise Blankenbeckler, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Louise was born in Greene County on June 18, 1941. She was an active member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, and she was the best cook, always ensuring everyone was fed. Louise loved spending time with her family, sight- seeing with her husband, Paul, serving at her church, working puzzles, playing card games, and eating Moon Pies. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. To know her, was to love her and she will be forever missed.Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Blankenbeckler; her father, Rome Compton and mother, Minnie Compton; along with many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two sons, Robin Blankenbeckler, Wayne Blankenbeckler and wife Sandy; her daughter, Karen Mullins and husband Beeler; four grandchildren, Heather Russell and husband Jason, Beth Whitaker and husband Josh, Dustin Blankenbeckler, Beeler Mullins and wife Santana; five great-grandchildren, Luke, Bentlee, Beeler, Granger, and Charleigh; one sister, Janice Hicks; sister-in-law, Linda Humphreys and husband, Eddie; and many nieces and nephews.A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper with Pastor Larry Browder officiating. A Celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 5th, 2022, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.The care of Dora Louise Blankenbeckler and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
