Edward Leon Melton

Edward Leon Melton, 69, of Gray, TN, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Edward was born January 26, 1950, in Mt. Airy, NC to the late Vivian James and Nellie Melton. He was a mechanic for most of his life, but he most recently had worked for Walmart. Edward enjoyed watching wrestling, cooking and time spent with his family, especially, family trips to Gatlinburg. He was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran. Those left to cherish Edward’s memory are his daughters, Kreshanna Goforth ( Jason) and Valerie Melton; three grandchildren, Analise Goforth, Micah Melton, and Shelby Scalf; and his pet, Grey Cat. A gathering to celebrate Edward’s life will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the home of his daughter, Kreshanna Goforth, 722 Greengate Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663.
