Ellen Deal McConnell

Ellen McConnell, 62 of Hoschton, GA, formerly of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her home with her husband by her side.Ellen was born in Kingsport on December 21, 1956 but resided in Georgia most of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mamaw, daughter, sister and friend. Ellen loved her family but especially her grandchildren and spent every moment possible with them. She attended every ballgame and event that the grandchildren participated in. Ellen was an avid TN Vol Football fan and loved watching the ballgames with her family. Preceding her in death is her father, Jack Deal.Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 43 years, Steve McConnell; daughter, Michelle Sims (Chris); sons, Chris McConnell (Pamela) and Chad McConnell (Elise); grandchildren, Hailey, Ethan, Ava, Conner, Mack, Brooke, Leah and Maeleigh; mother, Dorothy Deal; sisters, Glenna Williams (Curt), Vicki Estep and Cathy McConnell; brothers, Gary Deal and Dennis Deal; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm, Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
