Eugene Williams, 87, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019, in Bristol, Tennessee. Eugene was born on July 6, 1931 in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Hugh and Willie Hudson Williams. He retired from Eastman Chemical as an operator after 32 years of service. Eugene was a member of Shriners International, and he was a proud Veteran of United States Army having served in the Korean War.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Polly Williams; daughter, Debbie Williams Hass; and five siblings. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Randall Eugene Williams; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; son–in-law, Stephen Hass; and many friends.The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Thursday, February 7, 2019, in the Fireside Room at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.A Military Graveside Service conducted by The American Legion Hammond Post #3/#265 will follow in the Garden of Mediation at Oak Hill Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Williams’ memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or Shriner Hospitals for Children www.shrinershospitalforchildren.orgThe care of Eugene Williams and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.

Randy, Sorry to hear about your dad. you and I had a lot of special memories growing up and I am so glad we got to share most of them with your dad. I got to visit him a little while back and he was so glad to see me. We talked for a few hours and when I got ready to leave he wanted me to stay a little longer so I did. It made him so happy.
