Eula Faye Jessee

Faye Jessee, 87, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Brookdale, Rock Springs. She was born March 26, 1930 in Scott County, VA to the late Albert and Lillie Hickman Wininger.Faye was a very caring lady who had a great personality and was loved by everyone. Her hobbies included; interior decorating, gardening, working in her flowers, shopping and painting. She enjoyed all holiday festivities, listening to Gospel music and decorating for the Christmas holidays.Mrs. Jessee retired from Eastman Chemical Company following twenty-five years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kingsport and the Eastern Star.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Jessee; sisters, Gladys Shelton, Claudia Daughtery, Pauline Sawyer and Enlo Derrick; brothers, Dom, Bud, Gene and Kyle Wininger.Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Mary Helen Hall; several nieces and nephews; special friends, R.L. Bowling, Gladys Gonce and Betty Boyer.The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday, August 18, 2017 at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Wayne Baker and Elder Fred Gilreath officiating. An Entombment and Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Mausoleum I.The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Brookdale, Rock Springs, Amedisys Hospice, special caregiver, Charlene Derrick and special niece, Libby Ray for their compassionate care of Faye during her final days. Memorials in Faye’s honor made be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
